Dr. Minnich graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M with a degree in Animal Science in 1983, then graduated from Texas A&M Veterinary School in 1987.

Before moving to Virginia, she worked in an animal emergency clinic in Houston and participated in eventing.

She has practiced small animal medicine in Virginia since 1987, having joined AGAH in 1994.  She enjoys surgery, ophthalmology, endocrinology and teaching puppies and helping owners.

She and her husband have a daughter in Virginia Tech and one at Massaponax High School.

She has competed in dressage successfully to FEI levels placing in top 10 at Devon in PSG. 

She has numerous pets - the current menagerie includes a black lab, a Siamese, a 3-legged cat, and a Hanoverian mare and foal.
